Every nominee receives two things: the certificate that bears witness to the moment, and the tribute that tells why. Both are set by hand, researched and written so that they will still be read in twenty years’ time.

The certificate
On heavy paper, with seal and verification note. It names the cult icon, the genre, the year and the formula of nomination: “The CultAWARD jury nominates … in the genre … and puts it to the vote.”
The tribute
A text in five parts: the jury’s verdict in a single sentence, an overture that makes the cult tangible, the seven criteria in detail, the cult community, and the key facts with sources.
The verification note
Every tribute carries a note on its status and sources. What is documented is marked as documented. What is open remains open. This is how the CultAWARD protects the honourees and itself.
The sample
A sample shows the nomination of the VW Beetle in the Automotive genre: certificate, tribute and cover letter. It will be published once the rights holder has approved it.
