The questions most often asked of the editorial team – answered briefly.
Can you buy a cult?
No. A nomination costs nothing and cannot be bought. If a nominee is also a partner, we say so openly – and the vote stays with the public.
Who decides?
An AI researches and assesses every candidate according to the Cult Canon. Three juries of seven people each – Bamberg, national, international – make the nominations, and the public chooses the Cult of the Year. The publisher vouches for facts and rights. About the procedure
What does it cost to take part in the vote?
Nothing. The public vote is free of charge and not tied to any purchase.
How does one get nominated?
Through the research of the editorial team, through proposals from the juries or from the public; every candidate goes through the same assessment. Self-nominations are not foreseen.
What do nominees receive?
A certificate, a tribute, the personal presentation and the right to use the seal.
Who is behind the CultAWARD?
The CultAWARD is a project of Universal Brands, Bamberg. Its publisher is Oliver Hillebrecht.
How do I become a member?
In the CA:Club – free of charge in the Circle of Friends, with an annual fee in the Cult Community or with a one-time fee in the Founders’ Circle.
