At the end of the year, the CultAWARD invites you to its gala. The winners of the public vote are announced, the golden trophies are presented, and for one evening the cult stands on the stage it deserves.
Gala & Award Ceremony
The ritual of the presentation
When the winner steps onto the stage, the house lights go out. A single beam of light falls on Monique – on the star she reaches for. The laudator speaks the jury’s verdict, the winner receives Monique, and with it the hall lights up again.
The guests
The honourees of all three levels – from Bamberg, from Germany and from around the world – together with partners, members of the CA:Club and guests from culture, the media and the communities of the cults.
Date and venue
The gala takes place in December 2027 in Bamberg. We will announce the exact date and the hall as soon as they are confirmed. Members of the Cult Community and the Founders’ Circle receive a pre-emption right.
The call from Bamberg
Twenty-one cults from around the world receive the international CultAWARD in 2027. As with the Nobel Prize, the winners learn of it through a phone call: during Cult Week in October, the publisher calls from Bamberg shortly before the jury announces its decision. Only after this conversation are the names made public.
The world as our guest
On the evening of the gala, the international winners travel to Bamberg or join live. Those who cannot come receive their Monique where their cult is at home – and the hall in Bamberg is there with them.
Be there when cult is honoured.
